i like the picture at the top of this page, but was it really taken in portsmouth? or has it been lifted from the internet? if it has been lifted, then does it not need to be refrenced? i could never see anyone being able to read like that in portsmouth without being knifed. 0  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

hi there, I obtained this image legally from this website:http://www.morguefile.com/

It's a website where people can use professionally taken photographs for free. All they ask is that you let the photographer know when you have used it.

I quite regularly read in Portsmouth city centre during my lunch break, and so far I have been quite safe!! It would be nice to see more people reading, but I must admit it is nicer to do it in the comfort of your own home. Do you find this valuable?

Perhaps we ought to organise a mass read-in in commercial road. We could colonise all the benches and get stuck into a good book! Do you find this valuable?

This is provoking a potentially interesting debate, I may see if I can create a poll on this issue. Many people feel self-conscious about going outside simply to read, but why should we? Do you find this valuable?
